LONG BEACH, Calif. – The UNI Women's Basketball team fell Saturday evening to Boise State 61-60 in a neutral site match at Beach Classic hosted by Long Beach State.
UNI led for much of the game, and shot well, hitting 24-53 from the field and 6-12 from the three-point line, but the Broncos ramped up the defense over the final five minutes of the game.
Boise State went on a 9-0 run to take a 61-58 lead with under a minute to play. Karli Rucker hit a pair of free throws to cut it to 61-60, but a three-pointer at the buzzer missed and BSU held on for the win.
