UNI track & field shines at home in Jack Jennett Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI track and field put on a show on Friday as the Panthers hosted the Jack Jennett Invitational inside the UNI-Dome. In a meet that featured athletes from Hawkeye Community College, Mount Mercy, NIACC, Upper Iowa and Wartburg, the Panthers won 18 of the 30 contested events with a plethora of personal bests across the board.

Rylie Todd opened the meet with a commanding first place finish in the women's high jump with a 5 foot, 3 inch performance. Lydia Berns-Schweingruber secured second place with a season-best jump of 5 foot, 1 inch making that her season-best, while Layanna Green (5 feet, 1 inch) and Morgan Johnk (4 feet, 9 inches) finished in third and fourth place respectively.
