2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Bracket (PDF)
The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team has drawn the University of Texas Longhorns in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The game will be played Friday at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla.
It will be the first meeting between UNI and Texas. Although head coaches Ben Jacobson and Shaka Smart have met three times previously when Smart coached at VCU.
UNI earned its eighth NCAA appearance and seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last 13 years by winning the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament last weekend.
