ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball team took home second-place honors at the 2016 Michigan Invitational.
The Michigan Wolverines (3-0 overall) scored a 3-0 win over the Panthers in the championship match on Saturday night. Michigan won by set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-21.
In the opening set, Michigan opened up a 19-12 lead only to see UNI storm back with a 9-2 run to knot the set at 21-21. However, Michigan was able to score the final four points of the set and take a 1-0 lead, 25-21.
