CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI student-athletes, led by the Minority Student-Athlete Leadership Team (MSALT) and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), will hold a UNIty March on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7 a.m.
The theme of the march is We Rise as One, and the march will be conducted to coincide with sunrise at 7:17 that day.
The march was initiated, planned and organized by the student-athletes with the assistance of the UNI Athletic Department.
Senior linebacker and MSALT member Alfonzo Lambert is grateful to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with his teammates.
"We are out there fighting together on the field, going to battle with these guys every day in practice," Lambert said.
