CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's softball team completed the All Iowa Classic on Sunday, ending the weekend against Drake.
No official score was taken for the nine inning matchup.
Freshman Jenny Kohl assisted in a strong fifth inning following Ashley Chesser and Anna Varriano to load the bases.
Fellow freshman, Abby Downs, came to bat in the fifth and hit a triple deep into the back of right field bringing Kohl, Chesser, and Varriano home. Downs also came home with the help of Courtney Krodinger.
Bailey Lange was able to get four strikeouts against the Bulldogs to help end the top of the second and the top of the third.
