COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Due to poor field conditions, the UNI softball game scheduled for this afternoon against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles has been canceled.
Rain storms in Cookeville throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday morning has made field conditions unplayable at the Tennessee Tech softball field. Due to field conditions the game scheduled for this afternoon between the Panthers and the Golden Eagles has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
UNI softball will make their way down to North Carolina for the Niner Invitational hosted by the Charlotte 49ers. At the weekend tournament the Panthers will face some tough competition in RV Wichita State, RV Minnesota, and the host 49ers.
