CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI softball team finished the final day of the Doc Halverson UNI-Dome Classic by knocking off the Mavericks of Nebraska-Omaha 8-2.
The Panthers lead the entire game starting off to a fast start from the first inning. UNI scored four runs in the first inning and didn't look back. The Mavericks would try to cut into the deficit in the 3rd and 4th inning scoring one a piece making the score 4-2. In the bottom half the Panthers scored three runs from a three run homerun from Sammey Bunch that extended the lead to 7-2.
