CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- UNI Soccer kicked off the 2022 season in style with a 2-1 win against the Grand View Vikings.
Two penalty kicks and a late goal were the highlights in a Panther win during their home opener at UNI Soccer Field. In a game where it was tied for all but seven minutes, UNI kept possession and pace in their favor as they allowed just one shot from the Vikings.
The Panthers took 19 shots throughout the game as seven made their way on goal. But the first goal of the game went to Grand View as Kenzie Langstraat scored on a penalty kick in the 36th minute.
