Winning on Wednesday is a must if Northern Iowa wants to maintain any hopes of contending for the Missouri Valley Conference men’s regular-season basketball title.
The problem is, Indiana State is on a roll and the 6 p.m. showdown in Terre Haute, Ind., promises to be tense.
“They’re playing good basketball,” Panthers coach Ben Jacobson said. “It appears that they’ve found some things that have been working for them.
“You can just see them becoming a team”
Wichita State (10-5, 4-0 in the Valley) sits atop the conference standings, with Indiana State (9-7, 3-1) among four teams tied for second place.
