NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad scored a 3-1 road win at Illinois State on Friday. The Panthers won by set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.
It marks the fourth straight win for the Panthers and their 12th win in the last 13 matches. UNI is 22-8 overall and 13-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Illinois State falls to 16-13 overall and 9-8 in league action.
Piper Thomas led the way with 17 kills and 10 blocks while hitting .419 in the four-set win. It is the first double-double of her career.
