For the first time since November, the Northern Iowa men’s basketball team is on a serious winning streak.
Saturday’s 82-66 victory over Drake gave the Panther four straight successes, and showed upcoming opponents they might be hitting their stride.
Paul Jesperson set the scoring pace with 21 points, while Wes Washpun contributed 15 points, six assists and three rebounds.
Jeremy Morgan added 14 points, six assists and three rebounds.
Northern Iowa improved to 14-11 overall, 6-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
More importantly, the Panthers are playing as well as they were while winning five a row coming out of Thanksgiving weekend.
