That is how far the Northern Iowa softball team traveled on a bus from during a seven-game, seven-day week that saw them start in Wichita, Kan, detour to Columbia, Mo., and finish up in Evansville, Ind., Saturday.
To say the least, the Panthers are ready to be home and will hopefully get that chance this weekend when it is set to host Indiana State at the Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex Saturday and Sunday.
"It was a little more difficult than we expected," Panther head coach Ryan Jacobs said. "I think we are at a point in the season where we are just happy to get off the road.
