CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad clinched a spot in the Missouri Valley Conference volleyball tournament for the 32nd straight year with a 3-0 sweep of the Drake Bulldogs in the McLeod Center. UNI won by set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-13.
The Panthers (19-8 overall, 10-4 MVC) recorded their 40th consecutive victory over the Bulldogs (14-14, 5-9 MVC). UNI head coach Bobbi Petersen also moved to 33-0 all-time vs. Drake.
UNI secured 10 service aces in the triumph - the most since the Panthers had 10 service aces at Indiana State on Oct.
