The University of Northern Iowa department of athletics has announced its February Student-Athletes of the Month sponsored by Transamerica as voted on by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).
This months' honorees are Matt Bohannon (Marion, Iowa), Molly Lembezeder (Peosta, Iowa), Jeremy Morgan (Coralville, Iowa) and Aftin Phyfe (Waverly, Iowa).
Molly Lembezeder - Swimming and Diving
Molly Lembezeder continued to re-write UNI's history book at the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships. In total, Lembezeder received five first places finishes, a third place and a fourth place finish. Lembezeder teamed up with Aftin Phyfe, Autumn Roepsch and Crystal Florman to create a new MVC record in the 400 freestyle relay, with a time of three minutes and 23.
