Iowa State and Northern Iowa will revisit old rivals when the NCAA volleyball tournament opens Thursday.
Iowa State will travel to the Hearns Center in Columbia, Missouri, the home arena for former Big 12 foe Missouri.
Northern Iowa will face former Missouri Valley Conference opponent Creighton in a first-round match.
Iowa State coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said she's excited about visiting a familiar gym. Her team could play Missouri Friday if the Cyclones defeat Purdue and the Tigers beat Northern Illinois. Missouri left the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference in 2012. The teams last met in 2011.
