CEDAR FALLS — On-campus interviews of three finalists for the University of Northern Iowa’s vacant director of athletics position are expected to be completed today.
Montana State director of athletics Peter Fields was on campus Monday, current Minnesota State-Mankato AD Kevin Buisman spent Tuesday at UNI and Iowa State Senior Associate AD David Harris was scheduled to visit today, according to unconfirmed reports out of Ames.
Fields has spent 14 years leading Montana State’s athletic program after previous stops at Missouri, Toledo and Kent State. However, Montana State announced recently that it does not plan to renew his contract, which expires in June.
