The scheduled game between the Northern Iowa and Green Bay men's basketball teams, set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the McLeod Center, was called off Friday.
According to a news release from Green Bay's athletic department, the Green Bay medical team made the recommendation for the Phoenix not to play because of "COVID-19 complications within the UNI program."
A UNI athletic department release mentioned COVID-19 protocols but not a specific program of origin.
The next scheduled game for the Panthers (1-4) is at 8 p.m. on the road against 13th-ranked Wisconsin.
The Northern Iowa women are still scheduled to host Green Bay in a game scheduled for 3 p.
