CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — The sting of Sunday’s selection show has faded, giving way to playoff excitement throughout Cedar Falls. If Northern Iowa ultimately wants to prove the FCS committee wrong, the Panthers can’t let up at any point during this journey.

First up is San Diego, which treks into the UNI-Dome for Saturday’s 1 p.m. kickoff. The Toreros (9-2) may be the only non-scholarship school in the 24-team field, but UNI (8-4) isn’t in position to look ahead.
