ST. LOUIS --- UNI offensive lineman Erik Sorensen has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's (MVFC) Offensive Lineman of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The selection marks the second time this season Sorensen has received the honor.
Sorenson and the Panther offensive line opened big holes for the UNI's key playmakers in a 41-20 victory over Missouri State last Saturday. The Panthers totaled 522 yards of total offense, marking the first time since 2007 that UNI has recorded multiple games with over 500 yards.
Sorenson's contributions also helped open up the Panther running game for Dom Williams, who ran for 101 yards and scored four touchdowns, tying a single game school record.
