UNI Falls At South Dakota, 28-25

Box Score VERMILLION, S.D. – The University of Northern Iowa football team battled to the end on Saturday against the South Dakota Coyotes, but came up short, falling 28-25. UNI is 2-3 this season overall and 1-1 in MVFC play.

UNI cut the South Dakota lead to just three points to start the fourth quarter on a one-yard rushing touchdown from Aaron Bailey. Add the two-point conversion reception from Trevor Allen, and the Panthers only trailed 28-25 with 13:52 to play.

The Panthers had a chance to tie the game with less than five minutes on the clock, but Austin Errthum's 34-yard field goal went wide.
