CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa softball team earned two run-rule victories on Sunday at the UNI-Dome Classic, defeating South Dakota State 11-2 in five innings before shutting out Western Illinois in five, 8-0. The Panthers (4-2) won four straight games at their annual tournament after dropping two on the first day of play.
UNI's offense picked up where it left off on Saturday in their first game against the Jacks. After the Panthers allowed one run in the top of the first, Brittany Krodinger earned a leadoff single before moving into scoring position via a stolen base.
