Normal, Ill. --- Tackling the first meet of the 2022 season, the UNI men's and women's cross country teams took to the course on Friday night at the Redbird Invite, held at the Weibring Golf Club.
The Panther women finished 4th in the 9 team field, while the men's team took 5th out of 8 programs competing.
Three Panthers finished in the top-20 individually in the 6K race, led by Kate Crawford, who finished 15th in the 83-person field with a time of 22:23, dropping 10 seconds from her top time from the event last fall.
