CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The hardwood at the McLeod Center was in place for some of the best memories in UNI athletics history.
The first games on the floor were the opening round games of the 2010 NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma that saw the Panthers top No. 1 Kansas 69-67 to advance to the sweet 16, one of the most exciting upsets in NCAA tournament history.
As is tradition, the winner of the section of the bracket is allowed to purchase the floor. It made its home at McLeod where it saw epic wins over traditional powers like North Carolina in men's basketball, Kansas State in women's basketball and Iowa State in volleyball and conference championships by all three teams.
