MANHEIM, PA. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association named three Panthers wrestlers the 2020 Scholar All-American Award Winners, the association announced Thursday.
Jay Schwarm, Max Thomsen and Bryce Steiert were all recognized by the association for their combined academic and wrestling performances.
Thomsen was 20-8 on the year and finished sixth at the Big 12 Championship after going down with an injury. He received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship and the No. 13 seed in the field. He was named honorable mention All-American by the NWCA.
