LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Northern Iowa track and field program qualified two student-athletes for the 2016 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships today, ending the second day of competition at the NCAA West Preliminary Round.
Justin Baker kicked off the day with another personal-best in the hammer throw and another school record to his career. He placed fifth overall in the event with a mark of 213-8.00 to clinch his spot in Eugene, Ore., June 8-11.
