WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team captured its first victory of the season with a 7-0 sweep of Gustavus Adolphus at the Black Hawk Tennis Club on Saturday.
UNI (1-4 overall) got the meet going its way early by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage in the dual. UNI's No. 1 doubles pairing of Elvira Lopez and Jieke Stroobant posted a 6-1 win over GAC's Michaela Schulz/Lizzy Stanczyk. UNI's No. 2 duo of Astrid Santos and Gisela Kemper notched a 6-0 triumph over Sid Dirks and Katie Aney.
