The University of Northern Iowa softball team will be hosting its annual Hit-A-Thon fundraiser Oct. 5.
The Hit-A-Thon will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Robinson Dresser Complex in Cedar Falls.
The Panther softball student-athletes will again play a large part in determining the amount of money raised for the softball program.
During this year's Hit-A-Thon, each player will get pledges from individuals in the community and the players will have 10 swings to hit the ball as far as possible. The distance of the farthest ball hit is then multiplied by the amount of pledges.
