The University of Northern Iowa Panther softball team will take to the field this Wednesday with its opening game of the season against Kirkwood Community College.
The matchup between the UNI Panthers and Kirkwood Community College Eagles will take place at the Robinson Dresser Complex in Cedar Falls. First pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m., and the game is scheduled for 10 innings.
The Panthers are excited to get back on the field, with pitcher Jaclyn Spencer saying, "as a team we have been working very hard on and off the field" to prepare for the season in the spring.
