St. LOUIS - ESPN has selected the Southern Illinois at Northern Iowa men's basketball game for distribution on ESPNU on Sunday, Feb. 23. The game will air at 1 p.m. Central. This marks the third time the Panthers will play on ESPNU this season.
Southern Illinois enters this week tied for second in the league standings (the Salukis were picked 10th in the preseason poll.) This season, SIU has been a youth-led team, with more than half of the team's scoring coming from freshmen and sophomores. But recently, SIU's seniors have stepped up. In SIU's win against Loyola, SIU's three available seniors combined for 50 of the team's 69 points and grabbed 19 of the team's 30 rebounds.
