Predicting the teams is relatively simple.
The real challenge for bracketologists is figuring out where the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament selection committee will send those 68 teams on Selection Sunday.
“I would say this,” ESPN’s Joe Lunardi said, “The where of a team, other than at the very top of the bracket or at the very bottom, is pretty much a crapshoot.”
In other words, we won’t know the destination of Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa until pairings are officially unveiled starting at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on CBS.
All three in-state programs will be part of the field, but the slightest shift in seeding could set off a chain reaction that alters which city the Hawkeyes (21-10), Cyclones (21-11) and Panthers (22-12) end up in.
