CARBDONALE, Ill. – Chelsea Ross has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference Championship All-Tournament team as announced after the championship game this afternoon.
Ross (Kansas City, Mo.) tossed all seven innings in UNI's 2-1 loss against Illinois State on Friday in their quarterfinal contest. The senior allowed just one earned run while striking out eight. At the plate, Ross went 2-for-3 including a lead-off single to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning that saw the Panthers cut their deficit down to one.
On the season, Ross led the Panthers in six offensive categories including batting average, home runs, and on-base percentage.
