Hello, everyone. Welcome, once again, to the recruiting mailbag.
We have arrived at one of my favorite times of the year: AAU basketball season. Every year, I always look forward to traveling around the Midwest and the country in April and July to cover in-state talents, Iowa and Iowa State targets and high-level recruits for the USA TODAY Network.
Sadly, and very understandably, that didn't happen last year. And it probably won't happen much in April. But, man, July? Seems like there's a light at the end of the tunnel there, where enough people are vaccinated that those big AAU summer events might just feel somewhat .
