The University of Northern Iowa softball team is set to open their 2016 season at the Ramada UNI-Dome Classic on Friday. The Ramada UNI-Dome Classic features the Panthers as well as Missouri Valley Conference opponent Drake along with Saint Louis, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Western Illinois, Nebraska, and South Dakota State. There are 18 games scheduled for the tournament that begins on Feb. 12 and ends on Feb. 14.
The Panthers will open up play on Friday afternoon when they take on Big Ten opponent Nebraska at 2:45 p.m in the third game of the day before wrapping up opening day play against Saint Louis at 7:15 p.
