WACO, Texas – UNI football opens the season ranked 20th in the AFCA Preseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll released by the organization Monday.
UNI returns to the poll after receiving votes in the 2018 post-season. The Panthers finished 2018 with a 7-6 record, and made the fourth trip to the FCS Postseason in five years.
UNI returns 16 starters from last season, including preseason All-Americans tight end Briley Moore and defensive back Xavior Williams.
The Panthers open the season ranked 18th in the STATS FCS Preseason Top-25 Poll that was released earlier this month.
