CEDAR FALLS - The University of Northern Iowa Swimming and Diving team will travel to Iowa City on Friday, October 1 to begin their 2021-22 campaign. The Panthers return 19 swimmers and divers, including defending 200 backstroke MVC Champion Amber Finke.
Due to COVID-19 schedule adjustments, the teams did not meet in the short 2020-21 season. In the most recent meeting, the Hawkeyes defeated the Panthers in Iowa City as part of a tri-meet including Michigan State. The Hawkeyes have bested the Panthers in all previous meetings.
The Panthers return three from the All-Conference team, including Iowa City native and 200 butterfly school record holder Lily Ernst.
