Sixth-ranked UNI Football advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs with a come-from-behind road win over South Dakota State in the FCS Second Round. The Panthers advance to face second-ranked James Madison on the road in Harrisonburg, Va. The Dukes rolled their second-round opponent Monmouth 66-21 to earn a trip back to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2017.
• South Dakota State jumped out to a 10-0 first quarter lead and appeared to be off to the races before the UNI defense found its footing with two second-quarter takeaways to stem the tide. The Panther offense put together a pair of five-plus minute drives in the second half, including one that set-up an 18-yard field goal with 2:10 remaining in the game to give UNI the 13-10 win.
