CHICAGO, Illinois – The UNI volleyball team played for sole possession of first place in the MVC, taking on the Ramblers of Loyola on Monday night. The Panthers (results) with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-16, 25-21.
The Panthers entered the match with an 18-0 series record, winning the last six matchup with 3-0 sweeps. The Panthers went out to a quick lead in the first set and coasted to a 25-16 set victory. The Panthers were up by as many as 6 points in the second set but couldn't hold off the Rambler attack and lost the second set in a 23-16 thriller.
