WATERLOO, Iowa – The UNI women's tennis team fell to Missouri Valley Conference foe Valparaiso, 5-2, at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo, Iowa on Friday.
In doubles action, senior /sophomore defeated Amanda Tabanera/Isabelle Schoolcraft, 6-4, on the No. 2 court. After a tight battle on the No. 3 court, senior /freshman defeated Mia Bertino/Allison McConnell, 7-5, to secure the doubles point for the Purple and Gold.
Moreira posted the Panthers' second point from the No. 3 court after a three-set battle with Tabanera. Falling 3-6 in the first set, Moreira bounced back to take the second 6-3.
