OMAHA, Nebraska – The UNI women's soccer team opened the season against the Mavericks of Omaha Thursday night, falling 0-1 after 90 minutes.
The Mavericks were able to get the lone goal of the game in the 26th minute of the 1st half with a goal from midfielder Emilie Erland. Getting the lone assist on the goal was midfielder Andrea Daves. Erland also added two shots on goal for Omaha, who as a team had 7 shots on goal.
The Panthers ended the game with 3 shots on goal and 12 fouls.
