FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Northern Iowa softball team capped off a 4-1 weekend at the Wooo Pig Classic with a 10-1 win over Buffalo on Sunday morning. The Panthers (15-6) homered four times in the contest, their most in a game this season.
Buffalo scored the first run of the game in the second inning, plating one run due to a lead-off triple to take an early lead. It marked the first time this weekend that the Panthers did not score a run first in a game.
The Panthers bounced back quickly in the following half inning to take a 5-1 lead as UNI rattled off five straight hits to begin the frame.
