CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa softball team opened up its fall season Sunday afternoon hosting Upper Iowa University in a 10-inning exhibition game.
While there was no official scoring taking place, the Panthers came out ready to play.
Bailey Lange drew the starting nod in the circle for the Panthers and limited the Peacocks to a lone run in her work.
The Panthers kicked it into gear during the second half of the scrimmage by scoring seven runs. Senior Macey Wolfe hammered a pair of home runs to pace the Panther offense.
