Sixth-ranked UNI Football advanced to the second round of the FCS playoffs with a dominating defensive performance against San Diego in the first round of the playoffs. The Panthers advance to face South Dakota State for the second time in less than a month. The Jackrabbits topped the Panthers 38-7 on Nov. 16, UNI's only loss since early October. SDSU had a bye week to prepare for the game after receiving the bye. The winner of the game will face the winner of the James Madison-Monmouth game.
