CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa softball team had no troubles manufacturing runs in their doubleheader contest against Loyola on Saturday afternoon, racking up 21 hits to take both games on the day. Five homeruns propelled the Panthers (29-13, 8-4 MVC) to an 8-1 win in game one before taking game two 12-0. UNI grabbed double-digit hits in each contests, making it the fourth and fifth straight MVC games where the Panthers have done so.
Caitlin Wnek hit the first home run of the day for the Panthers in the second inning, a leadoff shot to left field.
