CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Forget the upset talk this time around.
North Carolina was having none of that.
Kennedy Meeks scored 10 of his 18 points during the eighth-ranked Tar Heels' dominant second half, leading North Carolina past Northern Iowa 85-42 on Wednesday night.
Not that it was a considerable talking point, but North Carolina earned some measure of vengeance after Northern Iowa knocked off the then-No. 1 Tar Heels 71-67 last November in Cedar Falls.
Justin Jackson added 12 points on Wednesday for this year's North Carolina side, while Joel Berry II and Isaiah Hicks finished with 11 apiece for the Tar Heels (11-2).
