LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Northern Iowa track and field program was set for the first day of competition at the NCAA West Preliminary Round today, but due to inclement weather, most of the events were postponed to May 27.
Paige Knodle and Justin Baker competed in the javelin and hammer throw, but not all flights were completed before the day's events were pushed to tomorrow. All running events on Friday and Saturday will now be a quarterfinal with the heat winner and the next six fastest times advancing to the NCAA Championships in Eugene in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters and the hurdles.
