CHICAGO, Illinois - Darius King came into the Missouri Valley Conference Championships weekend ranked seventh in the valley with a mark of 19.07 meter throw set at the Iowa State Classic earlier this season. King finished the Missouri Valley Conference Championship men's weight throw with a season best toss of 19.48 meters and a third place finish garnished with All-Conference honors.
The Panthers finish day one on the women's side with 15 points and the men finish the day with 17 points, scoring through six and five events, respectively.
The Panthers push through 18 athletes in qualifying rounds to compete in tomorrow's finals.
