WATERLOO, Iowa - The Milwaukee Panthers edged out the University of Northern Iowa Panthers in women's tennis on Friday at the Black Hawk Tennis Club, 4-3.
Milwaukee took a 1-0 lead in the dual by taking victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. UNI's top doubles' duo of Jieke Stroobant and Elvira Lopez scored a 6-2 win over Milwaukee's Laurie Clark and Alysa Straub. However, UNI could not take down Milwaukee's other two doubles teams.
UNI bounced back in singles play with wins from Stroobant, Lopez and Eve Small.
