CHICAGO, Illinois – The UNI men's basketball team took on the leagues leader, Loyola, on Saturday night, falling to the Ramblers 61-60.
The Panthers came out slow against the Ramblers, trailing by as many as nine points in the opening minutes. The team rallied back in the later parts of the first half to take a seven point lead into the break.
helped the Panthers in that comeback, the Panther big men scored 14 first half points with McDonnell leading the way with eight. Collectively the Panthers shot over 50 percent from the field, from beyond the three point arc and from the free throw line.
