One year after being named the conference’s Freshman of the Year, Schaben took her game to the next level this season, ranking eighth in the conference with 3.37 kills per set. Elsewhere for ISU, Grace Lazard and Samara West earned spots on the second team, while Hali Hillegas was a unanimous selection to the conference’s All-Freshman squad.
League champion Kansas earned several individual awards, with Ray Bechard winning Coach of the Year and Kelsie Payne Player of the Year.
Northern Iowa has hired Nathan Christensen as its Assistant Athletic Director for Development/Director of the Panther Scholarship Club.
